A Waterbury first grader was arrested after bringing a BB gun onto a school bus.

The arrest happened earlier this month at Hopeville Elementary School.
Paul Guidone, Waterbury Schools Chief Operating Officer & Chief of Staff, told News 8 the unidentified student was showing the BB gun to another student on the way to school. The driver saw it, confiscated the BB gun and reported the incident.
