Is he serious?
That’s likely the question many asked over and over again while watching the first episode of E!‘s “What Would Ryan Lochte Do?”
“WWRLD?” follows the life of Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte, 28, as he…well, we don’t exactly know what he does aside from live the life of a frat boy and swim.
During the 2012 Olympics, Lochte was one of the few athletes able to steal some of the spotlight from fellow U.S. swimmer Michael Phelps. With his all-American grill, Lochte garnered a lot of female attention, likely helping him land his reality show.
Despite his “douchebag” label, Lochte does manage to come off as endearing and less “douchey” than one would expect, often tearing up when talking about his family and their never-ending support.
And while he may not be a genius, he’s not exactly Forrest Gump. (On the other hand, sometimes he is the walking jock stereotype.)
When talking about his label as “America’s Douchebag”:
What does douchebag even mean? No, really, I don’t know what it actually is.
So what would Ryan Lochte do? Who knows, but if he doesn’t stop saying, “Jeah!” we may have to mute him. Stop watching? Of course not! That speedo more than makes up for any stupid catchphrase and let’s be honest, reality TV stars are not chosen for their brilliance.
