US President Barack Obama has criticized the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for targeting political groups during the 2012 election campaign.
The IRS must be held œfully accountable” for singling out tax-exempt groups, Obama said on Monday, while warning œI™ve got no patience with it, I will not tolerate it and I will make sure that we find out exactly what happened.”
This came as the tax agency admitted to intentionally seeking out groups with the words œTea Party” and œpatriot” in their names – customarily used by conservative groups.
The US president said the IRS must apply the law in a non-partisan fashion in order to appeal to US taxpayer confidence.
The US House Ways and Means Committee has scheduled a hearing for Friday to investigate the matter.
A considerable amount of political groups filed for tax-exempt status with the IRS between 2010 – 2012, ahead of the presidential election.

Low level underlings did this, NOT Obama!
How come it was okay for Bush and Cheney to invade TWO countries based on actual LIES but the Repubs cannot stop desperately searching for anything to impeach Obama for?
That is what it is all about: Politics.
You see Obama is protected and cannot be killed. So the Repubs are seeking any scandal, any reason, to impeach Obama and the truth simply does not matter.
All BIN readers are STILL upset that Obama won a second term and Rove’s attempt to steal Ohio for Romney failed should get over it.
Please, please, get over it already and concentrate on issues that actually matter!
