Kentucky Man Shoots Suspect During Home Invasion

OAK GROVE, Ky. – Christopher Kelley said he owns a gun for protection, but had never shot anyone until Monday.
“Just lucky I guess I had it with me,” a sleep deprived Kelley said. “You get it and you always hope you don’t have to use it.”
A little after midnight he said he and his brother were sleeping on a living room sofa when he heard someone come through the front door.
It was so dark he first thought the visitor was there for his roommate, but then realized it was a home invasion.
“I turn around and I see the gun and I see the mask. He started raising his arm and I shot,” Kelley said.
