(Before It's News)

Britain™s Conservative party publishes a draft bill to legislate for an EU referendum.

Britain™s ruling Conservatives have published a draft bill to legislate for a referendum on Britain’s membership of the European Union (EU) by 2017.

British Prime Minister David Cameron™s draft laws would pave the way for an in/out vote by the end of 2017 that will decide Britain™s relationship with the 27-nation bloc for decades ahead.

The Conservatives will ask the British people in a referendum before the end of 2017, “Do you think that the United Kingdom should remain a member of the European Union?”

However, Tories™ coalition partners, the Liberal Democrats said they would oppose the Bill, telling the Guardian that the Tories were “free to bang on about Europe”, but that the issue was “an internal Tory trauma”.

The British Prime Minister hurried up the publication of the draft piece of legislation as eurosceptic Tory MPs planned a vote to condemn the coalition’s lack of action on the EU.

Up to 100 eurosceptic Conservative MPs are expected to back a motion this week, criticizing the Queen™s Speech for failing to mention a bill allowing an EU poll.
