Fan Injured by Miguel’s Billboard Awards Jump May Sue

Last month, an audience member at the Billboard Music Awards was injured when singer Miguel jumped, but accidentally landed on her and another fan.

Now, fan Khyati Shah’s lawyer said she may have brain damage.

Shah’s lawyer, Vip Bhola, told TMZ, “Some of the difficulties she’s experiencing are cognitive in nature and lead to suspicion of a neurological head injury.”

Bhola said his client was not looked after properly and should have been taken to the hospital, not given an ice pack for her bruised elbow by those with the award show.

Pending results from a neurologist, Bhola said he may be filing a lawsuit on Shah’s behalf.

After the performance, Miguel and Khyati met backstage and he apologized while she was given ice for her arm. In an interview, Miguel stated, “Unfortunately, we did not meet under the best circumstances, but I think we’re okay.”

“Got caught up in the moment, thank goodness Khyati is okay,” the singer tweeted afterwards.
