(Before It's News)

The National Security Agency is currently collecting the telephone records of millions of US customers of Verizon, one of America’s largest telecoms providers, under a top secret court order issued in April.

The document shows for the first time that under the Obama administration the communication records of millions of US citizens are being collected indiscriminately and in bulk – regardless of whether they are suspected of any wrongdoing.

The collecting of data ends July 19th as the order was issued for a 3 month period.  Under the terms of the order, the numbers of both parties on a call are handed over, as is location data, call duration, unique identifiers, and the time and duration of all calls.  The content of the conversation is not.  That last part confuses me especially, it makes this whole thing nonsense.  To any apologists or ultra-liberals and Democrats and the like who still think Obama is so great, i say, “in your face’.  This guy is Bush and he is worse than Bush in dozens of ways.  The fact that Verizon is in bed with the government in this is fascism.  Its all fascism.  It violates the constitution, it violates you.  -Mort
