War, deception, art, and glory is what was described to have come together during WWII with the American Ghost Army. A collection of artists, ad directors, actors and other creatives given the absurd tasks of deceiving Hitler’s German forces. Using rubber tanks, sound effects, crafted illusions and other tricks, the unit was incredibly successful – their story told in the new PBS documentary.
