Just think. A nuclear device carried aloft by an Iranian rocket somewhere near the Gulf of Mexico and a blinding flash in the skies. Within 12 to 18 months, experts predict, 90 percent of Americans would be dead.
That’s the catastrophic threat from the resulting electromagnetic pulse signal, or EMP, that an upcoming conference will address. The live-streamed event, hosted by Florida-based The United West, is scheduled for Friday, beginning at 11 a.m. Eastern Time. The group says it is “dedicated to defending and advancing Western Civilization against the kinetic and cultural onslaught of Shariah Islam.”
I think its abit premature to callit imminent but the panel at The united West do have some credential that make them more qualified than my humble opinions. There is no dobt that Al-Qaeda is resurgent and in more countries than ever before since the US has decided to combat them with the cobra effect. An “Iranian rocket?” What do you think the United States would do to Iran if Iran did that to the Uinited States? Do you think Iran is willing to sacrifice it’s entire population for such an endeavor as that? Do you think the leaders of any country are?

Actually, yes… they are.
You are talking about radical muslims here, not intelligent human beings that can reason but muslim animals. These animals strap bombs to their kids and send them on suicide missions to blow up civilians so yes, Iran is quite willing to bring about the end of their nation in order to hasten what the see as the end times and glorious victory over we infidels.

The Iranians most certainly DO NOT strap bombs to their kids and make them bomb anyone. You are conflating the occasional use of suicide bombers by desperate Palistinians (who are 40% Christians) with Every Muslim in the World. This is a bit like condemning all Christians as bizarre fanatics because of what the Westboro Baptist Church does occasionally.
Also, you are projecting a bit. Muslims don’t have the Christian notion of some cataclysmic “End Times” that many Christians do. Some of them think their “Mahdi” will lead them to glorious victory over “non believers,” but this notion of some sort of glorified suicide cult is more a Christian notion than a Muslim one.

No I don’t expect them to launch it from their home country, a freighter offshore or a dummy company’s warehouse just south of the border would work just fine. We’d have no response time and nobody to blame, just a sunk freighter we couldn’t trace or a burned out warehouse belonging to nobody.
Iran is incapable of delivering a pizza. The EMP attack will come from criminal elements within the US gubmint.

Just my thoughts I think that N.Korea is ahead of the Game and we do not know what their Satellite has in store for us. Has Iran capabilities to sent a Rocket into Space?

Wasn’t this supposed to happen before? With Iran sometime last year? Or what about the time with North Korea this past spring? Oh, and wasn’t it supposed to happen from China during the height of the financial crisis?
This technique, if not the technology, has been an open secret since it was discovered by accident. Not surprisingly, it wasn’t appreciated at first for what it was, a weapon of mass destruction/extermination. Like the admirals of WWI who laughed at airplanes until one sunk a battleship as a demonstration, the most dangerous weapon in history was ignored up until recently. Everybody continued to build yesterday’s technology preparing for yesterday’s war, a thermonuclear exchange, but thankfully, that never happened. What DID happen is the way we work, play, and feed ourselves, became increasingly more dependent upon the grid. Every system we use is now based on electronics and silicon chips that are very sensitive to this type of damage. Now every country in the world knows this is the next big thing, and unfortunately, the range of people who could pull it off is getting wider and wider. How long until the inevitable? Anyone’s guess. However mutually assured destruction will not serve as a deterent. The one missile which could put our lights out for good could be launched from anywhere.
