A vast majority of Americans are concerned about their personal healthcare under Obamacare, a new US healthcare law, according to a new national poll.
A Fox News national poll released Tuesday found that 68 percent of voters are concerned about their healthcare under the new system. The survey showed that 43 percent are œvery” concerned and another 25 percent œsomewhat” concerned.
The poll also found a 54-percent majority wants to go back to the healthcare system that was in place in 2009.
Another poll by the Pew Research Center/ USA Today which was released Monday showed that 53 percent of Americans oppose the healthcare law.
A Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll, also released Monday, showed that 76 percent of respondents said they didn’t understand the law and how it would affect them.
The Affordable Care Act known as Obamacare is aimed at offering œaffordable” coverage for low-wage Americans. However, policy experts have warned that the law would fail in reaching its objective.
Corporate consultants and policy experts have warned that the new healthcare law might be unaffordable for many low-wage workers due to a loophole in the law.
Executives at staffing and payroll firms say Obamacare and a struggling economic recovery are pushing businesses to switch to part-time hiring instead of full-time.
Under Obamacare, companies with 50 or more employees face fines if they fail to offer cheap health insurance for their full-time workers. Any employee working 30 hours or more is considered full-time.
