1960’s rock icon and the soon to be Kennedy Center honoree, Carlos Santana, was in a car accident after falling asleep at the wheel.
The 66-year-old guitarist was driving in Las Vegas on Friday night when he allegedly fell asleep at the wheel and plowed into parked car in a residential area of Las Vegas Valley. His luxury electric car, a Fiska Karma, was totaled with the airbags deployed.
Miraculously, Santana who was driving alone walked away from the accident unharmed. The rock legend had been performing at the House of Blues in Mandalay Bay on the Las Vegas strip.
The accident was first reported exclusively by TMZ on Friday and has exclusive photos of the singer’s car.
The Jalisco-born musician/songwriter has won 10 Grammys and sold more than 100 million records.
