Grand Theft Auto V, the most anticipated video game of 2013 and the latest entry in the popular “open world” crime series, is filled with obvious references to the Illuminati secret society.

Developed by British video game developer Rockstar North and released for the Playstation 3 and the XBox 360, GTA V allows the player to freely roam the game’s urban and rural settings while committing crimes with near impunity.
Between virtual shootouts and carjackings, however, players may find themselves distracted by the numerous secret society symbols in the game.
The references are so obvious that the Illuminati in GTA V is a trending topic on both YouTube and Twitter.

The previous entry in the series, Grand Theft Auto IV, also had numerous hints to the occult.
Is the symbolism merely meant to be harmless fun which stirs discussion or are they in there for a sinister reason? You decide.
