Gov. Scott Walker Announces Special Session to Delay BadgerCare Reforms

[Madison, Wisc...] Governor Scott Walker announced at a press conference on Thursday that he is calling for a special session of the legislature to delay the reforms to BadgerCare that were a part of the budget. Instead of transitioning non-elderly childless adults above 100 percent of the poverty line from BadgerCare to the Obamacare exchange on January 1, 2014, that transition will be delayed until March 31, 2014.
