Here’s how this new technology works:
Intellistreets has designed patented and manufactured electronic modules (ECM) that may be embedded or attached to almost any form of structure or luminaire. Rated for both indoor and outdoor use, the ECM has an array of features that are designed to monitor, control and report status of digital lighting systems. Unique in the world, Intellistreets is also enabled with an audio amplifier, digital sign output, relay closures and sensor inputs/outputs.

Network communication consists of an Ethernet or Cellular gateway device located within 1000′ of the first ECM enabled device (light pole). Each ECM is has two RF radios working in harmony to provide bi-directional meshed communications between ECM’s (light poles). Data is stored via a “cloud” based network.
The Electronic Control Module (ECM) is a compact wireless device that provides a full set of lighting control, monitoring, and multimedia options for integration into luminaires. Core features include the ability to control lighting (includes patented energy management and LED Optimizing software), LED notifi cation devices, audio devices for background music, message playback and paging capabilities, and controls DMX lighting.
A cloud based web interface and content storage system are standard allowing a secure yet robust portal for accessing all the features of the system. Secure access to the module is only available through the Intellistreets Virtual Command Center portal.

Intellistreets has an inherent mass notification system as well as distinctively smooth audio playback for sound tracks. By two (2) general (Patented) mechanical design methods, the sound is played through drivers (speakers) and driven from a 40 watt amplifier embedded in the ECM. The built in amplifi er is up to 98% effi cient. (Patent pending)
The Intellistreets ECM has a notification light feature capable of instructing the LEDs to change color, vary flash rates, way-finding and performing notification sequences where the LEDs are switched on and off creating many desired effects.
The IntelliStreets Blue Light Button provides two-way hands-free communication between the light pole and a security professional. When the button is pressed, a signal is sent from the button to the Intellistreets ECM processor in the head of the pole. The processor will begin playing an audio message through an embedded loudspeaker placed within one or more area light poles, notifying listeners that audio recording was initiated. The Blue Light module is equipped with a an audio microphone connected to a wireless telephone modem and is used to place a phone call to an emergency response center. When the security professional answers the call, the listener at the pole can converse hands-free with the security officer.
The PTM is designed to be mounting on an existing pole. Initial design is for use with LED luminaires, but can be adapted to other light sources with some limitations. The PTM utilizes the Intellistreets Electronic Control Module (ECM). The ECM is a compact wireless device that provides a full set of lighting control, monitoring, and multimedia options for operation of LED luminaires. Core features include the ability to control lighting (includes patented energy management and LED Optimizing software), connect LED way-fi nding devices and DMX controlled lighting, connect audio devices for background music, message playback and paging capabilities, and input connections for a variety of environment sensing devices. A cloud based web interface and content storage system are standard allowing a secure yet robust portal for accessing all the features of the system. Secure access to the module is only available through the Intellistreets Virtual Command Center portal.
