We’ve previously documented that there are so many federal and state laws in the United States, that no onecan keep track of them all, and everyone violates laws every day without even knowing it.
As such, it is best to avoid law enforcement when possible.
It’s vital to note, however, that the Supreme Court ruled this year that your silence CAN be used against you(the link is to the website of one of America’s top constitutional law professors) … at least until you’re read your Miranda rights. Therefore, if you remain silent when police are questioning you, it is very important to tell the police that you are exercising your right to remain silent.
I know 3 cops, 2 university cops, 1 sheriff’s deputy and all 3 are nice.. to me, cause I know them. I gotta be honest with you, I highly dislike cops. I avoid them whenever I can which is all the time. The last run-in I had with a cop it wasn’t even with me but a lady in the parking lot at Wal-Mart just yesterday. The cop was writing a ticket for someone who had parked in the handicapped spot without a handicapped parking permit. I know, another money scheme, anyways, the cop is going to go back to his cruiser and he starts yelling at this lady who is parked, with the car on, in front of wal-mart unloading her cart into her car. He basically told her she cant do that and she was suppose to do it in the parking lot, which he was right about, but there are 3 reasons why this was totally out of line. 1, everybody does that, everybody does. It’s like any other of the probably hundreds of laws everyone breaks because its just stupid. 2. There was no imminent fire or emergency that would cause this cop to chew this lady out and 3, he didn’t just tell this lady, he chewed her out for it. He was a total dick about it. Its not like he calmly and politly informed her that it isnt good to park there because you know what if this happened and firemen needed to get in there or emergency worers and so forth and happily and nicely informed her of her error. No, he was a total dick. He reemed this poor lady out. To the point where I was pissed about it. Anyways, avoid police if you can because if you try to teach your teenager a lesson about life, and you involve the police, he will die. -Mort
The police are legally allowed to lie to you during questioning and they are allowed to say anything they want to get you to confess or to trick you. I just read an article that a cop shot an unarmed man who only had a cell phone in his hand. He shot him 16 times and 3 times in the back as he stood over his bleeding body. Turns out he was drinking before he went on duty. He got off scott free just for saying he thought the cell phone was a gun oh and he had been involved in several other shooting incidents.
Known this for years. Shut up and use your Miranda rights.
What you people don’t realize is parking lots like wal-mart k-mart or any other stores are private property and unless a pig is called to that location for a crime they have no jurisdiction or say on any kind of traffic violation.
Unfortunately, many with badges are counting on You to meet their quota or perhaps a raise/promotion. It’s the ‘system’ and most do as they’re told with unexpected consequence.
They do this sort of thing on the road. It’s 4 PM, many people are driving 15mph over the speed limit, and the police do nothing. Yet, if you drive through the same area at 3 AM going 7mph over speed limit they will pull you over. So, of course it’s about money. It certainly isn’t about safety. 15mph over the limit during rush hour is a definite safety issue, 7mph over on an empty free-way is not a safety issue. Not sure why we hired them to keep us safe if they’re really just working for the government and not for us. What’s the point? Is 7MPH over really a big issue, especially when there’s a crack deal going on at the street corner right about then? Isn’t that where you should be since we did, in fact, hire you to keep hard drugs off the streets? But whisper something about marijuana plants and the whole state SWAT team will be there in three minutes. Wow! I think we took a wrong turn at Albuqurque back in, about, 1913.
I wonder, can you call the police on the police?. I think I would have called the cops if I was, or witnessed someone else, being harassed by one.
