On November 13-14, 2013, GridEx II will exercise NERC and industry crisis response plans and identify actionable improvement recommendations for plans, security programs, and skills. The scenario will build on lessons learned from GridEx 2011 and include both cybersecurity and physical security components.

The drill, called GridEx II, will take place on November 13-14 of this year.
The participants will include 65 utilities and eight regional transmission organizations, representing most of the nation’s electricity customers. The drill will test how well the electric utility industry and the grid itself respond to physical and cyber attacks.

What does this mean for the average American? Why haven’t we heard about this on ANY NEWS MEDIA??? Not even FOX? Is it ONLY 150 companies that will participate? or does this mean lights out for ALL AMERICANS? Every single home in America will have NO POWER? NO WATER? NOTHING? This will cost American businesses MILLIONS AND MIlLIONS of dollars in lost business, not to mention it leaves the door wide open for looters. Lots of crime will be going on. This could be the “create a crisis” that Obama wants for his Martial Law.
