Gunman Burst Into Dollar Store And Threatens To Kill Everyone – Before Police Could Even Respond, He Was Dead

An armed man entered a Orrville, Ala., Dollar General on Thursday, waved his gun in the air and threatened to kill everyone, AL.com reports. Though motive is unclear, he never got the chance to hurt anyone because a customer carrying a concealed handgun neutralized him with a deadly shot.
Dallas County Sheriff Harris Huffman Jr. told WSFA-TV that the gunman held a cashier and customer at gunpoint, forcing them toward a break room area. It was at this point that the customer reportedly drew his firearm and shot the suspect one time in the chest. The entire incident took less than five minutes, police say.
The gunman was pronounced dead on the scene.
The sheriff said the customer is not currently facing any charges over the shooting death, however, investigators are working to confirm he had a valid concealed carry permit. Open carry is legal in Alabama, but a permit is required to carry a concealed handgun.
And that is how to deter would be armed robbers… without guns crime would double if not triple. Proof of this can b e seen in Australia. Guns banned since 1996 and every sort of crime has sky rocketed.

this is a false equivalence, to say otherwise is being intellectually dishonest. first of all the man was waving his gun in the air “threatening” people, he was not shooting. not a single one of the mass shootings, does the individual announce to everyone what his intent his before it happens. they open fire without warning, targreting people.
so to say everyone being armed will deter crime, because of this story is a false equivalence period
if the intent to do harm by an individual is there, they will succeed period. if i walked into a tea party rally with 100 men all wearing guns, and opened fire without any warning at all, i gurantee i will take out half of them before the first one is even able to react. those are the facts.
if anything having more guns at a seen of a mass shooting most likely would cause even more deaths from “friendly fire” because 90% of you gun toting cowboys, though you think you are, are not responsible adults
