The Connecticut underground is under a lifting flame after shots exchanged between two growing artists that entered the happy new year with a not so happy state of mind. The international world of Facebook awakened to a new update by Prophet that claimed he slept with G.O.L.D’s ex-partner he was in a mutual kinship with sometime in the past. The track also challenges G.O.L.D’s street credibility after Prophet claimed G.O.L.D was lying about his lifestyle. The next morning the world of Facebook was lit under another flaming candle after G.O.L.D responded with what people are calling a “First Round Knock Out” diss in the battle against his first challenger in the New Years. Underground Musician Joe Banga has now broke his silence and gave his thoughts on the battle. The fellow Unified Blocks member apart of the same group G.O.L.D is in claimed he’s not aware of how the beef started, but he felt G.O.L.D. response lyrically killed him:
“Gold killed him,” he stated. “Gold always had bars and gets creative with his delivery.” Joe Banga went on to answer our questions on whether he felt the battle was worth it for publicity and if he knew how the beef started between the two artists: “Not aware of what started it but heard both songs and gold did strong-arm but was it worth the publicity, i think no, because Gold worked hard to get his fans and supporters, so now I think he got their attention something he didn’t earn like Gold did even though he didn’t win.”
Everyone is still in question to whether a second round of shots will be fired to start off a second round between the two. G.O.L.D recently updated one of his statuses in thought of whether Prophet will be cooking up a new diss record soon, than he later deleted it. We will keep you updated!
