O. J. Simpson Pictured In Court Last Year
by Lyn Leahz | February 13, 2014
This morning, as I scanned the news and Facebook walls, all over the place were numerous articles making claims that O.J. Simpson was severely depressed and was slowly killing himself by going on a hunger strike in order that his children would receive his inheritance. One headline, for example, read: Report: OJ Simpson on hunger strike in effort to end his life while another claimed, OJ Simpson on Hunger Strike to ‘Keep Riches from Brown and Goldman Families’, while yet another stated, ‘I lived my way so I’m going to die my way’: OJ Simpson ‘goes on hunger strike in prison’.
So I contacted the Nevada Department of Corrections myself to inquire and hopefully get my own scoop on the story.
When I spoke with the gentleman in charge of media relations from the Department of Corrections, he assured me that the story, which has gone viral on the internet, is inaccurate and that O.J. Simpson is indeed “NOT” on a hunger strike. It is nothing but a rumor and mis-information.
He also mentioned that he has been inundated with phone calls from various media sources all over the USA regarding the same issue.
I’m not sure where this rumor originated, among the many were Yahoo News, Daily Mail U.K., International Business Times, National Enquirer (go figure),Turner Radio Network, and more. In fact, the list is so long, it’s exhausting. Some articles even went so far as to claim that he will be ‘force fed’.
At the end of our conversation, I did assure the gentleman from the Department of Corrections that I would get the ‘real’ truth out there among all the inaccurate stories overwhelming the internet.
Some of the sources who provided mis-information on this story: YAHOO NEWS, DAILY MAIL UK, SOFTPEDIA
Who is this Simpson person?
We need to feel sorry for this great American icon of football. Maybe we can have a special occult, super bowel, movement ritual, some sympathy for the devil, as it were. Maybe the Rolling Stones can play a sweet tune, to assist with the sympathy.
