With a homeless population exceeding the number of all people living in Los Angeles, Europe is struggling with one of the worst outcomes of the 2007/2008 global recession.
Desperate to get the 4.1 million homeless people off the streets, European leaders just might have a solution right in front of them.
Data compiled by the Guardian reveals that there are enough empty houses in Europe to house all of the homeless on the continent — twice. In other words, there are twice as many spaces available as there are people who need housing. The revelation comes as the EU urges leaders to come up with a solution. morehere
