Meet the Guardians of the Galaxy (VIDEO)
I have to admit I’d never heard of the Guardians of the Galaxy or the likewise-named comic series before seeing this trailer, but it’s got Chris Pratt and a raccoon with a machine gun, so yeah, I’m probably going to see this on the big screen.
A few other names from the main cast are John C. Riley, Glen Close and Benicio Del Toro, woot.
Also Vin Diesel.
Entertainment Tonight has a “deep dive” into the trailer, where they call it a “gloriously art-directed mash-up of ‘The Mighty Ducks’ and ‘The Last Starfighter’,” but I think “Firefly” fans won’t have a problem getting into this.
They’re certainly building up a head of steam; the release isn’t for another six months, August 1 later this year. It will be screened in 3D in addition to non-headache-inducing normal.
