MUFON: Second witness reports military jet pursuing strange orb

Witnesses in California and Missouri reported similar incidents occurred on February 11, 2014, where the military was apparently chasing a UFO. See Military chasing UFOs? Witnesses in two states file reports. The description of the California object in the earlier case was also described as orb-like and occurred just four days earlier in nearby Anaheim.
This latest case witness was sitting in a vehicle at the beach when the sound of a jet was heard.
“Heard a loud jet noise approaching,” the witness stated. “I got out of the car to see.”
The witness then noticed a military jet in the near distance.
“A loud military jet was going south to north about 500 feet high and one-half mile out from coast.”
But then the witness noticed something in front of the jet.
“Saw a white orb or sphere in front of the jet. It (the jet) seemed to be chasing the light. Clear night, no fog, as I thought the light might be a headlight from the jet? Pretty sure the jet was chasing the light though.”
No images or videos were included with the MUFON report, which was filed on February 16, 2014. Orange County, CA, has a population of 3,010,232. The county is famous for its tourism, including Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm, and has several beaches along its more than 40 miles of coastline.
California has a UFO Alert Rating of 3 with a high number of recent reports nationally. California had 102 reports during January 2014 – the highest reporting state in the nation.
