Attorney General Eric Holder to announce new federal “privileges” for same-sex couples. What are you actually losing?
WASHINGTON — The federal government will soon be treating married same-sex couples the same as heterosexual couples when they do things like file for bankruptcy, testify in court or visit family in prison. Attorney General Eric Holder was preparing to issue policies targeted at eliminating a distinction between same-sex and opposite-sex married couples in the federal criminal justice system, according to passages from a speech prepared for a Saturday event organized by a prominent gay-rights group. “In every courthouse, in every proceeding and in every place where a member of the Department of Justice stands on behalf of the United States, they will strive to ensure that same-sex marriages receive the same privileges, protections and rights as opposite-sex marriages,” Mr. Holder’s prepared remarks said, according to the excerpts circulated by the Justice Department.
Shouldn’t same-sex marriages be treated exactly the same as opposite-sex marriages? Absolutely, since determining your God given rights are not based on you sexual preference or orientation. Are we talking about “rights” here, or privilages? Many people do not actually realize there is a difference between the two.
priv·i·lege noun ˈpriv-lij, ˈpri-və- : a right or benefit that is given to some people and not to others : a special opportunity to do something that makes you proud : the advantage that wealthy and powerful people have over other people in a society
right (rīt) adj. right·er, right·est 1. Conforming with or conformable to justice, law, or morality: do the right thing and confess. 2. In accordance with fact, reason, or truth; correct: the right answer.
By giving people “privileges”, they are actually taking away your rights that are of natural law. Tagging privileges onto any “right” you are born with, gives them power to take your rights and replace them with what they see is fit for your standards of living. You already have these rights under natural law, so by changing the meaning or including the term “privilege, you actually lose more than you gain.
nat·u·ral law noun noun: natural law; plural noun: natural laws 1. a body of unchanging moral principles regarded as a basis for all human conduct. 2. an observable law relating to natural phenomena.”the natural laws of perspective” 3. natural laws collectively.
So before “You” as a “Human” decide to back a secret agenda that you haven’t educated yourself on, please dig a little deeper and see what you are losing more than you are gaining. We all have God given rights, don’t let them take them from you.
