Speaker Robin Vos Says RTA Bill is DOA in the Assembly

[Madison, Wisc...] The Senate passed a bill on Tuesday that would create a regional transit authority (RTA) in the Fox Valley. Elected officials would be appointed to the RTA and given the authority to increase the sales tax by 0.5 percent for transportation costs. At his press conference prior to the Assembly session, Speaker Robin Vos (R-Burlington) said that the bill will go nowhere in the Assembly.
