Helicopters, snipers, polo

Police, SWAT, hundreds of unseen  eyes watching every entrance, row and seat for suspicicious activity.  They even have drones and blimps watching thr dstadium thousands of feet above the stadium. And the F16s are flying as well.

The Defense Department is playing a major role in Sunday’s Super Bowl with air defense, ground troops, a flyover and other contributions, it said Friday.

F-16 fighters will patrol a temporary flight restriction zone over New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, said Col. Steve Warren. National Guardsmen will be on hand for security and “community relations.” An Army helicopter flyover will open the game. There will also be a military color guard and a 32-member armed forces chorus, he said, to help sing the national anthem. MOREHERE

Area media are reporting extremely tight security. Roads and bridges have been secured:

Whether you are in New York or New Jersey, going to the game or not, there are road closures, mass transit changes and tighter security that is likely to affect you
