Hampton Officer Becomes Rude, Belligerent With No Provocation

After pulling out of a left turn lane to follow me through an intersection, this officer turned on his blue lights. After pulling over at the first safe opportunity, he took the license and registration from me, spending an inordinate amount of time in his cruiser – far more than necessary to write out the $74.40 ticket.
After saying absolutely nothing to him, he became negative and argumentative, insisting that I was playing games or being rude. At no point did I make any negative comments, and the video clearly shows that I made no negative gestures.
“Am I being detained?” If the answer is no, drive away. If the answer is yes, ask, “On what charge?” then, “On what evidence?”
