The Yellow River has been badly frozen over for several weeks now, with this year’s extended cold periods affecting people all around the world, to the point where Chinese officials were getting worried about flooding in the case of a rapid thaw.
Aaaand it’s not like you can just helicopter in an ice breaker all to way to Inner Mongolia.
Their solution is something we can all appreciate, they just bombed the bejesus out of it.
The elegance of this plan is matched only by its effectiveness. The bombs worked their magic, and all is well now. Unless you were a fish in the Yellow River. Then this went very, very poorly.
