A Michigan woman, who is thought to have died in 2008, apparently voted in the 2010 midterm elections.
A body believed to belong to Pia Farrenkopf was found mummified last week in the garage of her Pontiac home.
Based on initial tests, experts believed she died in 2008, but voting records show Farrenkopf cast a ballot in 2010, Newser reports.
Investigators haven’t confirmed the body is Farrenkopf, who was unwed and childless. But they have said the woman apparently died in 2008 at the age of 49, according to the Associated Press, which matches Farrenkopf’s age at the time.
Pontiac city records indicate Farrenkopf registered to vote in 2006 and that she went to the polls for the first time in 2010. Officials say it’s possible the 2010 vote is an administrative error, according to the Detroit Free Press. MOREHERE
