Return of the Idiot Savant: John Kerry Tries to Weigh-in on the ‘Ukraine Crisis’
21st Century Wire says…
He’s not exactly the brightest spark, but he has certainly distinguished himself as the new unofficial leader of Washington’s new Hypocrite Society.
You thought you’d seen the worst of did when he fumbled the Syria debacle, trying it on with WMD fictional tale, and then kicked the ball into his own net. Well, he’s back, and weaker than ever…
Astonishingly, US Secretary of State John Kerry said today: “You just don’t invade another country on phony pretext in order to assert your interests,” John Kerry said during an interview with NBC’s Meet the Press. “This is an act of aggression that is completely trumped-up in terms of its pretext. It’s really 19th century behaviour in the 21st century.”
It might as well be a neoconservative foreign policy hawk talking, as arrogant and ill-informed as ever. A new level of hypocrisy has finally been achieved. Thank you Kerry for clarifying that.
Perhaps over-excited by all of his tough-talk at Russia now, Kerry has either suffered grave memory loss, or has been in a mental coma for the last 50 years. Is he unable to recall the dozens of incidents of violent US intervention around the globe during his own lifetime? It’s an unforgivable statement coming from someone who is meant to be the leading US diplomat. The term Idiot Savant comes to mind.
Kerry made another breath-taking gaff last week when weighing in on the Iran situation. As reported last week, he disingenuously claimed that the US had an ‘obligation’ to pursue nuclear negotiations with Iran before it considered going to war. From his new-found perch he waxed:
“We took the initiative and led the effort to try to figure out if before we go to war there actually might be a peaceful solution”.
What is essentially telling America and the world here, is that a war with Iran is already in the works and is inevitable – a kind of fait accompli.
As a Yale graduate and Skull and Bones member, John Kerry, has never been one to instill public confidence or imbue the virtues strong leadership. His traditional role in Washington since about 1980 – has been that of cleaner, garbage man and electoral fall guy (managed to sink his own election after leading Bush in 2006).
To the ruling east coast establishment clique in America, Kerry has always been regarded as a ‘safe pair of hands’ – in other words, he will do exactly what he’s told to do – with no surprises, attributes which highly are prized in Washington DC (he’ll do anything, say anything, and will stick to the script).
If this is John Kerry’s pre-run for US President in 2016, then you can expect he will be a two-time loser, as the world has already moved on from the tired, binary foreign policy ignorance which Washington has been famous for since 2001.
