THE TORCH OF FAITH – Brain Schulz

DEAR FRIENDS- Our inner journey toward lasting freedom and genuine happiness is often a long and exhausting road. If you wonder sometimes- or maybe even every day- how you keep facing the pain inside you, how you continue to love and nurture yourself, how you continue to crawl forward on hands and knees when your doubt and despair tell you to give up- I promise that you are NOT ALONE.

Many millions of your brothers and sisters- the sacred fellowship of brave and heroic souls who dare to dream of being free, of healing their Real Selves, of claiming their birthright of happiness and the joy of simply being alive- are feeling what you feel. And fighting that often lonely inner battle right alongside you.

So it once was for me. For many years I needed every last drop of courage and devotion- every single minute of every single day- to keep turning inward, keep feeling and coming alive, keep expressing my truth, keep opening my heart to myself. Learning to love and believe in myself- unconditionally!- was both the hardest and most blessed thing I have ever done.

But because I NEVER EVER GAVE UP- even when I was lost and totally swallowed by the darkness- I found my way to the miraculous light of day. And now enjoy the daily inner peace and happiness that I could not yet see or feel- but which I still believed was there.

Did you ever see the end of “The Return of the King”? Frodo and Sam have been through so many struggles, dangers and torments on their desperate quest to throw the Ring of Power (a symbol for fear…..) into the fire. At the end, they are crawling up a blasted and blackened mountain……..barely alive….. but they KEEP GOING.

And in the end they succeed- through the power of faith and love.

Sometimes our journey toward our healing and liberation is like that. Other times it is full of hope and excitement. The key to reaching the goal is to keep affirming every inch of progress that you make- no matter how small it may seem in the moment.

Recognizing and validating our gains- the hard-won distance we have covered- keeps the “pilot light” of hope lit in our hearts. And over time builds that light and that flame into an inextinguishable torch of faith.

With that sacred torch you can and surely will see the path through the the darkest night- and find your way home.

Everyone's “pilot light” of hope and faith flickers and dims from time to time. And may in times of crisis even need re-lighting! So for the sake of Love- and your Precious Self- make sure to always tend to your Inner Torch.

Forever hold it high and by believing in your own progress keep your faith in YOU- and your destiny of freedom and happiness- burning strong and bright! LOTS OF LOVE- BRIAN
