The author of the brand-new “Noah: The Real Story,” says Hollywood’s version of the biblical account, “Noah,” has great special effects, spectacular acting and is a good adventure film.
But Larry Stone says it’s not the same as the Bible, and that’s important to know because the biblical documentation offers tips for surviving the end of the world.
After all, Noah did it, the first time the world “ended” with the flood.
“How do you survive the end of the world?” he asks in a new interview about the subject. “Noah did it. God destroyed the world by the flood, and Noah survived, thanks to God’s instructions.”
He said a multitude of questions about Noah, the flood, the Ark and the animals are explored and answered in his book, such as how big was the Ark, how did Noah gather animals, how reliable are “flood” stories from around the globe, how did Noah feed and take care of the animals, and more.
But Stone said there are parallels between what happened to Noah and what prophecies say about the end of the world.
“Jesus says in the end of the age ‘I’m going to come back,’” Stone said. “Noah warned of the flood … nobody believed him. They carried on their everyday lives. …eating, drinking, marrying and giving in marriage.”
Stone said Jesus cautioned that just before he returns, it will be the same. And the world will be chiding Christians, “come on preachers, you’ve been saying he’s going to come back for a thousand years.”
