TND Media Context Review: By Eric Dubin |
Press TV published a sobering telephone interview with professor James Petras. His perspective is far too hot for mainstream Western media. Professor Petras laments that the Obama Administration was not stopped when it had used destabilization tactics to escalate conflict in Libya and Syria, and the Ukraine has followed a similar pattern.
“I think it’s very clear that Washington organized and supported a coup [in Ukraine] backed by extreme rightwing forces, which were prepared how the country eliminates the rights of the Russian minority, a close 40 percent of the population, and expel the Russians from their base in Sevastopol,” Petras said.
“The Russians understood that the US was not interested in a diplomatic solution, they were looking for a power grab (in) which they would swallow up all of the Ukraine, expel the Russians from their military base, break the 40 years agreement that the Russians had with the Ukraine government,” he added.
…
“I think, they [the Russians] had no choice. The provocative US policy, the brinkmanship threatening a worldwide confrontation, the Russians cannot tolerate being cut out of the Black Sea, the whole Mediterranean, and exercises and the presence of Russia. This is not going to be,” Petras stated.
What’s truly disconcerting is that this crisis will likely escalate. Petras likens the Ukraine tinderbox to the greatest crisis since the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. Yet what are a great many Americans doing this evening? Watching the Oscars. At least during the Cuban Missile crisis most Americans knew there was a serious crisis brewing. Today? Sleeping sheep…

It’s the same NWO manipulation all over the world: legitimate government is replaced by fraudsters(Obama), crooks(banksters) and jailbirds(Nujoma,Mandela), who can be manipulated by bribes to do the cabals bidding.
