Yes nothing weird.
If one Jew wants to take Islam it s not possible to go directly. Must go first to Christianity, and after that he can go to Islam.
Actually in the last book Ku’ran stating that all these 3 religion Judaism, Christianity and Islam came from the same place. From the God.
In the beginning it was the same religion in to One God, but people gave the names after like Judaism, Christianity, islam…
It states also that Muslims should read previous books if they have some suspicious.
Islam is update to Christianity with some messages for them. The book of the Truth.
