My Father used to tell me that the president was a figure-head and that he could do nothing without congress.
Dad was wrong.
Though there may have been a time when this was somewhat true, during the Barack Obama presidency this theory has been ripped to shreds.
Harry Reid and the Bureau of Land Management are easy targets in theCliven Bundy land grab case but, as usual, there are higher powers that are pulling the strings. The White House was quiet during this incident, which should have been our first clue that Barack Obama was involved and simply attempting to avoid the bad public relations that might result.
But, before I get to Obama, I want to suggest an article. All of the details of Harry Reid and the Chinese company, that is looking to open solar manufacturing and service in Nevada, first emerged in April of 2012. It has been two years. The original Bloomberg story goes deeper than anything I have seen in the past few days. If you have some time, it is worth a read. I will give you a brief snippet here that will give you a good idea of why Clark County was willing to sell to the Chinese.
For Clark County, where 70 percent of homeowners owe more on their homes than they are worth, furloughed construction workers rely on food banks at local union halls, and unemployment is 13.1 percent, the project could singlehandedly diversify a stagnant economy.
“I can’t tell you how many tours I’ve given people over the years trying to get them to see Laughlin as an attractive place,” said Brady, who has managed the town since 1995 on behalf of Clark County.
About 30 percent fewer people visited Laughlin in 2011 than in 2007, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. Gaming revenues at its riverside resorts — battling competition from Indian casinos in Nevada and California — were off by 25 percent, statistics show.
I think the above section is important, because we need to understand how our country is being dismantled and sold to the Chinese. When people are desperate, they look for quick fixes and do not care to see how they are creating more problems. When the economy is so bad that the jobless rate is nearly double the national average, it creates an opportunity for the sharks to come in. Harry Reid and ENN Group were simply sharks that smelled blood in the water. Again, if you have some time today, you should read the Bloomberg article. It clarifies a lot of the details.By this time, we all know that Harry Reid, Clark County and the Bureau of Land Management were all involved in this project, but we also suspect that it doesn’t stop there.
