Investigators are looking into a grenade attack this weekend on a hotel in the southern Mexican state of Guerrero, officials said, adding that no one was injured in the incident.
Fragmentation grenades were thrown on Saturday morning at the hotel in Chilpancingo, the capital of Guerrero.
One grenade detonated and the other failed to explode at the Jacarandas Hotel, the Guerrero Coordination Group said in a statement.
The hotel did not sustain any damage in the attack, which occurred around 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, the agency said.
One of the grenades exploded in the air and the other landed on the ground, officials said.
Guerrero Attorney General’s Office investigators are working with other agencies to determine who staged the attack, officials said.
