As a Vet, I had the chance to go to Fort Hood if I wanted to. I choose not to and instead stayed close to home. Though I have yet to hear any holes in the story, this latest shooting did have the phantom second shooter and there was the ad in craigslist (which can be faked) and the warning put out by authorities saying this would happen just days prior and then rescinded the warning. So there is some weirdness to it and is worth digging into it for more info.
