Once again, beloved readers, your heartfelt .prayers helped to make the difference. Vincent Albanese' transcatheter aortic heart valve implantation (TAVI) surgery was completed without any complications. He was wheeled out of surgery late Monday afternoon, and is now recovering comfortably in the post-surgery ICU room.
The main complications that may arise are strokes developing during and after surgery, and cardiac tamponade (blood building up between the heart and the protective tissue around it). Also the threats of cardiac arrest, cardiac and multi-organ failure can accompany this kind of heart surgery.
However, his surgeon was very pleased with the outcome this afternoon. We breathed a collective sigh of relief upon hearing this good news. Later on Monday, Vincent will be evaluated for any evidence of strokes having occurred during or immediately following his surgery.
I will inform my readers tomorrow of all updated information regarding his health status.
Sylvia, his wife, thanks all my readers profusely for their wonderful prayers of support for both of them at this difficult time. Vincent let me know prior to surgery how thankful he was as well for your prayers.
With risky surgery such as this, the potential for post-op complications to arise following successful surgery is always a possibility.
But now that Vinnie has fully surrendered his life and destiny to Jesus Christ, he has eternal life. Whether his body lives, or dies, this man has eternal life through Jesus his Savior! It has become a “win-win” situation.
I have learned throughout years of ministry, that God can choose to take His children home for His glory and hidden purposes. The decision is totally up to Him, and in His hands of divine wisdom completely. It does not mean that somehow, “God has failed,” when prayer seemingly is not answered and someone is not healed, but instead dies.
It is impossible for an ALMIGHTY God to fail! “Failure” may be a part of mankind's vocabulary. But failure is never a part of His heavenly vocabulary!
Should health complications arise, and should Vinnie go home to be with his Savior Jesus Christ at his age of 82, this is not a tragedy. Nor has God or prayer failed. God is entitled to take His children home, as His wisdom determines the timetables for each person's lifespan on earth. This world is never the permanent home of His redeemed! He has a better place prepared for each one of His beloved children.
