Pies to the face used to be a popular political protest.  But in this day and age, it’s highly unlikely anyone with a pie in hand would get very close to speakers.  Perhaps journalists and people attending public forums will soon have to leave their shoes at the door — not that we should give political leaders and their handlers any ideas!
