(Before It's News)

(Source: Facebook / Justice for Candy Middleton)

On April 18th, Cole and Jayna Middleton discovered that their home had been broken into.  Several items had been stolen, including the family’s firearms.   Mr. Middleton phoned the Rains County Sheriff’s Office for help.

When Rains County Deputy Jerred Dooley arrived, Middleton and his father both say they witnessed the deputy stick his head into the door of their house, which was nearly 40 yards away.  Candy barked at the unknown stranger, hopped out of the truck and approached the house “bark[ing] like all good dogs do,”  Middleton described.

Cole Middeton and his father immediately made their way up to the house to meet the deputy, but it was already too late.  Candy was dying on the ground of a gunshot wound to the head.  “I shot your dog, sorry,” Middleton remembers Deputy Dooley telling him.

I have no words for this.   This is one of the saddest stories of this type I have ever read.  I gotta warn you there are other graphic pictures and words at the link above.  This deputy should be brought up on charges and fired and thats putting things very lightly.  This was murder.   Plain and simple in my eyes.  He murdered Candy and deserves to be punished for it. Disgusting that this trend is still going on and the police are doing nothing about it.   Its sick.  I have absolutely no faith in the police anymore.  I would be afraid to call them.

Don’t ever call the police and mention anything about weapons unless you want cops with fingers on triggers and adrenaline pumping busting in your door. In this case, even mentioning guns being stolen was enough.

    • im sure the dog was armed and the officer was in the right

  • I don’t call cops. I either suck up whatever it is or deal with it myself. There has never been one time I needed the “system” to work for or protect me that it actually did anything but hurt me

  • If he were to do that to my dog, he would not have to be brought up on charges, he would be dead. On the spot dead, and I would die fending off his buddies that would come and do battle with me, because I killed one of their so called kind. While I would be right them wrong, and While my dog would still be dead, and the cop and perhaps others and myself, a message would be sent, but only if the phony media told the truth.

  • Never call cops! Avoid any and all interactions with them. They live to bring as much pain and suffering into your life as they can get away with. They can turn a traffic ticket into a nightmare you can’t recover from. I have three dogs that are my children. I would die or kill for them. What haven’t they came across someone like me yet? I hope they start running into folks that will shoot back.

  • Is it now standard protocol to remove “any perceived threats”,prior to assessing the situation? If law enforcement officers are going to become more militarized, perhaps they should adhere to the military’s “rules of engagement”?

  • shoot a dog really ? this cop needs to get his head a shake .

  • To become a cop in the USA you need to have a very low IQ and you need to want to kill things (and or people.)

  • The dog was pointing a gun at the officer and the officer fired in fear for his life.

  • We have an obligation to protect our dogs lives as they protect ours

  • Probability that the cop should be fired
Judgement that poor he should not be a law enforcement officer with the responsibility of a firearm.

  • This stupidity is due to homland security and israeli advisors End funding. They are the new cheka

  • sorry to hear this about your dog , all pets become part of the family no matter what any one says and you must be hurting , what is up with some people these days ? i lost my 3 legged cat to a dog attack 3 mths ago and belive me it hurts ,,with repect >:-)
