Hank explain the power of epigenetics, which studies the factors that determine how much or whether some genes are expressed in your body.
This is a light-hearted description of epigenetics, which is essentially the science of the environmental effects upon DNA, which can have effects for up to 3 generations. It describes why identical twins begin to look increasingly different from each other, over time, especially if they are exposed to different environments, have different habits from eating to smoking to exercise. Each environmental input determines how much or whether some genes are expressed in your body – and in those of your grandkids.
