Television host and paranormal investigator Zak Bagans of the Travel Channel’s hit ghost-hunting show “Ghost Adventures” and his production company are being sued for unpaid commissions. According to a court document from the Los Angeles Superior Court posted on May 2, Bagans allegedly owes more than $300,000 to the Abrams Artists Agency.
Abrams Artists Agency claims that Bagans’ organization Zak Bagans Entertainment owe them at least $300,00 from a deal tied to the Travel Channel that runs through April 2015. In the lawsuit, representatives from Abrams Artists Agency claim that they entered an oral agreement with Bagans in 2009 represent him. Abrams Artists Agency is seeking $305,833.32 in the suit.
In January, Abrams Artists Agency decided not to renew the contract of Bagans’ agent, Joe Rose. Bagans then terminated the agreement and stopped paying commissions to the agency.
Sounds to me like they are going after someone with some money. Sounds like a witch hunt. I’m sure Zak will come out of this unscathed.
