Jim Sinclair, aka Mr. Gold, has been a highly respected and world renowned voice in the precious metals community for decades. It is therefore unfortunate to see the recent negative light that has been shone on him within the past year.
Sinclair has taken a lot of negative criticism for his 2013 call of $1600 gold. He can’t be entirely blamed for this inaccurate prediction, given the unprecedented manipulation that precious metals faced throughout the course of 2013.
Interviews with Jim Sinclair have always been rare, but now they are much more so. He has chosen to reserve most of his time for financial meetings that he hosts across the country, in which investors can gain valuable insight from Mr. Gold.
Therefore, I am very pleased to share with you a presentation that Sinclair recently gave at the 2014 Hong Kong Mines & Money conference in which he was a keynote speaker.
Jim Sinclair raises a number of important points that are affecting the precious metals community, but most notably, he zones in on a new risk that the banking system is facing, the risk of bail-ins. Jim raises the question, ‘is your faith in the banking system misplaced?’ If you believe your assets are your own once placed in that system, then yes, it is.
Mr. Sinclair also discusses the recent action of gold and its role in the coming crisis that he sees unfolding. Enjoy.
