due Summer 2014, Jupiter Ascending is the latest release from the Matrix trilogy and Cloud Atlas 'directors' the Wachowskis.
Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis) is an unlucky Russian immigrant who cleans toilets for a living. She encounters Caine (Channing Tatum), an interplanetary warrior whom the Queen of the Universe sent to kill Jupiter. Caine tells Jupiter that the stars were pointing to an extraordinary event on the night she was born, and that her DNA could mark her as the universe's next leader. [source SYNOPSIS]
“Your Earth is a very small part of a very large Industry,” Hell, yeah!
Ain't it Cool News puts it most succinctly, “The Wachowskis tell stories I want to experience, and their worldview is one I can fully embrace.”
QUESTION: will Jupiter be Able to survive Caine? Who kills whom?
And (knowing the Wachowski's love of political intrigue) here's a 9-11 relevant section from LUDI: Ludi Romani, September 4–19 in 44 BC, September 12–15 in the 4th century AD, established according to some legends in the 6th century BC in honor of Jupiter, or perhaps Father Liber, and at first held occasionally, not annually.
Oh, and in case you missed it, here's a clip-homage J-Pop of the Wachowski's extreemly camp Speed Racer (2008) which I've never seen. Maybe it's time I did.
