Ericson Report
By Greg Ericson
5.26.2014
New Yorkers are monitoring and holding the NYPD accountable for unlawful stopping-and-frisking of civilians.
They are doing it with a mobile app.
The app allows bystanders to document the police frisking people and alert the community when a street stop is in progress.
The app can record an incident with video/audio by simply touching your mobile phone.
After filming, the user receives a brief note allowing them to provide details about the incident.
The app can alert the user when people in their vicinity are being stopped by the police. Other app users can be alerted as to where the incident is taking place.
The app has a “Know Your Rights” section that instructs people about their rights when confronted by police and their right to film police activity in public.
The app is called “Stop and Frisk Watch”
What good is an app and everyone showing up if Nobody puts forth an effort to stop the dogs from attacking. Just a useless app till force is met with force. Oh well, goodbye America hope your demise is quick and not long suffering. See ya!
only available in the USA….tried to download it in Australia and not allowed?
why would that be?
