Good God Morgan, research your data next time before you post fear-porn. Fort Lawton is 90-miles Southwest of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. NOT SEATTLE WASHINGTON!
Fort Lawton is the largest base in the U.S. (population wise, and approaches the largest base-size physically, too). There are over 40,000 troops and their families stationed there, and the base is PREDOMINANTLY an ARTILLERY base (not infantry, not MP, not detention center, not intelligence).
How would I know? As a U.S. Marine, I was once stationed there temporarily as an instructor, IN OKLAHOMA.
And no, I am not going to tell you which bases are in Washington, just so you can edit your story to fit the scare. You need to do SOME research on your own!
See, that’s what happens when you see red. Lawton is the base town outside of Fort SILL.
Damn, talk about inciting people. Fort Lawton in Seattle was mostly given to the city of Seattle, Washington in 1973, and the remainder of the little bit that was left was closed in 2011 during another of our famous ‘Base Re-Alignment and Closure’ sessions. It’s little postage stamp closed 3-years ago!
