DC elites not representing black American workers in amnesty debate
Breitbart News provides this weekend’s reading guaranteed to make you smarter, as Tony Lee reports that black Americans are disproportionately and negatively affected by the issues relating to amnesty for illegals.
“Illegal immigration has a disparate impact on African-American men because these men are disproportionately represented in the low-skilled labor force,” U.S. Civil Rights Commissioner Peter Kirsanow wrote recently to the Congressional Black Caucus in urging them to oppose amnesty legislation. “Giving amnesty to illegal immigrants would only exacerbate this problem facing low-skilled men, who are disproportionately African-American.”
In January 2013, Seeing Red AZ questioned the wisdom of the local black community advocating for amnesty when their own unemployment numbers were staggeringly high. Our post titled, “Illogical coalition shills for illegal immigration,” exposed the fanciful thinking.
The overriding question is, why would black leaders, whose own communities have excessive rates of unemployment both locally and nationally, be among those encouraging more illegals be given legal status — allowing them to compete for jobs these American citizens need and should have?
The illogical thought process responsible for causing activists within the black community to promote an even less hospitable employment atmosphere for their own brethren struggling in a still stagnant economy is based in the irrational thinking of the left.
