Cop Block’s “Music” Page Now Live
Music is a powerful medium through which to share an idea.
Made live today, CopBlock.org/Music is accessible via that link or from the “Resources” tab.
CopBlock.org/Music chronicles musicians who proactively used the form at CopBlock.org/Submit to share their message with readers of the site. Though spanning many genres and hailing from different locations, the tunes included share at least one commonality – the recognition, and advocacy to others, that badges don’t grant extra rights. And it could net the band some outreach lit, Cop Block gear, or other items for use and distribution.
A secondary goal for the page is to nudge other musicians to become active in this conversation. The barrier to entry is low – 10min or so to get some info about ones band in front of what is a good-sized audience that, like anything online, has the potential to be seen by anyone online.
CopBlock.org/Music also includes some related texts posts, text to bands who have interest in collaborating, and ways folks so-interested and able can help offset this outreach method, should it be thought effective.
