Women can be seen in the video throwing chocolates at the ISIS militants, CNN’s Arwa Damon reports. At one point, a child actually kisses one of the members of the terror group. The man who provided the video claims Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has helped ISIS capitalize on chaos by putting too much pressure on the people of the country.
Al-Maliki’s Shiite-led government long has faced criticism of discriminating against Iraq’s Sunni and Kurdish populations. But it is his perceived marginalization of the once-dominant Sunnis that sparked violence reminiscent of Iraq’s darkest years of sectarian warfare in 2006 and 2007.
As ISIS marches towards Baghdad, the group has reportedly already begun implementinting its own version of oppressive Sharia Law in other areas. Read more or listen to video below.
