Ofsted reports into a group of schools in Birmingham are expected to confirm little evidence of religious extremism.

The inspections took place after an anonymous letter alleged a “Muslim plot” called Operation Trojan Horse to take over schools in the city.

Ofsted reports on 21 schools are due to be published this month.

Leaks show the hated schools inspector found little evidence of homophobia or discrimination based on gender.

Yet allegations of discrimination were widely reported in the media in the wake of the Trojan Horse letter.

Despite this, chief inspector of schools, Sir Michael Wilshaw, is expected to place some of the schools inspected in special measures.

This means the Department for Education can remove governors and impose new ones.

They include three schools run by the Park View Academy Trust—Park View Academy, Golden Hillock and Nansen. Ofsted rated Park View “outstanding” in 2012.
