- The Seralini research study about genetically modified corn that was retracted last year by the journal that published it has just been republished in another journal, Environmental Sciences Europe.
The study, first published in the September 2012 issue of Food and Chemical Toxicology, and then retracted by the journal in 2013, linked genetically modified corn and Monsanto’s Roundup herbicide with tumor growth and high death rates in rats.
The study showed photos of rats who had developed large tumors and died early after eating Monsanto’s genetically modified maize, whether or not it was treated with Roundup weed killer.
In the article below, notice how CBS tries to spin the story in favour of Monsanto and genetic engineering. But when we remove all the emotional words and phrases, we’re left with the facts. The Seralini study showed what GMO corn is doing to the bodies of rats. The journal that published that paper was somehow ‘compromised’, but a second journal has emerged in Europe that is willing to publish the truth. – Edna
